Cleanse the Surface
A pure surface ensures a lasting bond. Using the provided alcohol prep pads, meticulously wipe down the outer door frame above the window where the 3M tape will adhere. Allow it to air dry completely before proceeding.
Find the Balance (Test Fit)
Before exposing any adhesive, hold the Peace Protect guard up to the outer door frame. Align the edges perfectly with the contours of your vehicle's door to find the exact placement. Familiarize yourself with how it sits.
Secure the Peace
Remove the guard. Peel back just 2 inches of the red adhesive backing from both ends. Fold the peeled backing outward so it hangs outside the visor. Reposition the guard onto the frame exactly as you did in the test fit.
Seal & Set
Once perfectly aligned, slowly pull the exposed red backing strips to remove the rest of the tape. Press firmly outward along the entire flange to lock the adhesive to the outer frame. Leave the vehicle dry for 72 hours for a full cure.
Prepare the Canvas
Open your sunroof entirely. Using the alcohol prep pads, thoroughly clean the roof area approximately 1 to 2 inches in front of the sunroof opening. Remove all dirt, wax, and debris so the adhesive can grip the metal directly.
Center Your Space
Without removing the tape backing, place the visor over the opening. Measure the distance from the edge of the visor to the edge of the roof on both the left and right sides to ensure it is perfectly centered. Use a piece of masking tape on the roof to mark the exact edges.
Lock Out the Noise
Peel the adhesive backing completely. Hover the visor over your masking tape guide marks. Gently lower it into place. Once you are happy with the alignment, press down firmly, starting from the center and working your way out to the edges to remove any trapped air.
